I owe you guys a deal and, thanks to Tasting Table, I’ve got a good one to share.  I read yesterday that, on Sunday and Monday nights, Back Forty offers a special dinner of seasonal soup , buttermilk-fried chicken with a honey biscuit and coleslaw, and a draft beer for just $25!  Also, I just saw that they have a Devil’s Food cake on their regular menu so, basically, this post is the best news ever.  You’re welcome.

Tasting Table is doing a Sunday Supper Series, during which participating restaurants will offer a two-course menu plus two pints of premium beer for $35.  Get the deal at spots like Burger & Barrel, Goat Town, and Salinas on Oct. 2, 9, 16, and 23.

Gilt City is offering 40% off dinner for two at Bread and Tulips.  For $74, you get two appetizers, two entrées, two desserts, and two glasses of prosecco or house-selected red or white wine.  Smells like a date night.

Tasting Table is running a deal at Nolita cocktail lounge 1534.  Now through April 1, $35 buys you a small punch bowl and two “bites” from the menu.  TT recommends pairing the Society Island Cooler (aged rum, demerara syrup, and pineapple, lime, and ginger juices) with the Alsatian tarte or the shrimp with coconut curry.  Sounds good to me!

My classmate Lindsay Hunt posted this Tasting Table guide to New York’s best cocktails on her blog today.  Great article, even includes the drink recipes and a map to all 15 bars!  Be sure to check out the rest of Lindsay’s blog, too.  Her photography is gorgeous.
